What is PALOOZA, you ask? Well,—you’re in the right place!
PALOOZA is a special one-day event organized by students from the Department of Physics and Astronomy at KU. It gives students the opportunity to present a 15-minute talk or a poster about their current research—but without the pressure of one of those more serious conferences across the country (iykyk).
The goal is simple: to learn about the interesting work happening across our Department and to get to know each other a little better. PALOOZA offers a low-stress environment where you can practice presenting your research and start preparing for the big leagues. Undergraduates are welcome too!
This year, PALOOZA is being organized in collaboration with the Departments of Chemistry and Biology, making it an even more meaningful event.
Last Date of Abstract submission: 18th April 2026
The event will take place on Saturday, April 25th, starting at 9:00 AM.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided—yay and yum!
This event is supported by the University of Kansas Department of Physics & Astronomy.
