Overview

This event will be held at the University of Kansas from May 27–30, 2026.

Supported by the NSF AccelNet program through the Inter-American Network of Networks of Quantum Chromodynamics (I.ANN QCD), this meeting will bring together graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and leading scientists from the United States, Canada, and Latin America. The goal is to advance emerging connections between quantum technologies and fundamental physics, with a particular focus on particle and nuclear physics, as well as new opportunities in quantum chromodynamics (QCD).

The program will feature pedagogical lectures, invited talks, collaborative working sessions, and structured discussion forums. Dedicated time will be reserved for focused discussions on key opportunities in quantum information science, including quantum computing, quantum simulation, quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, quantum communication, quantum sensing, quantum many-body systems, quantum field theory, lattice QCD, quantum machine learning, hybrid quantum-classical methods, and applications of quantum technologies to high-energy and nuclear physics.

In alignment with the mission of I.ANN QCD, the event will also emphasize the development of international research networks, capacity building, and science diplomacy across the Americas. The meeting aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthen global partnerships, and support the next generation of researchers working at the interface of quantum science and fundamental physics.

Student program (training and research): May 27-28

Global Engagement (science diplomacy and research networks): May 29-30

We highly recommend a visit to the Spencer Museum of Art. The museum offers an impressive and globally diverse collection, rotating exhibitions, and free admission.

On Thursdays, the Spencer closes at 8:00 PM

We encourage attendees to see Street Nihonga: The Art of Jimmy Tsutomu Mirikitani, a compelling exhibition featuring the work of the Japanese American artist and activist Jimmy Tsutomu Mirikitani.

The museum is located on the KU campus, just a few minutes from Malott Hall.

      Don't miss this opportunity!
